Wally Schaeffer, DC
Dr. Schaeffer began his practice in 1988. He has had clinics in Bettendorf, West Branch and Coralville Iowa, and also practiced in New York for two years. Deciding to make his home in Iowa, he opened his Coralville practice in 1992. He enjoys fine wines, riding and showing his horse, Ozzy, and playing with his dog, Jax, who was adopted. Dr. Schaeffer also enjoys reading books about health, spirituality, horses and anything with an inspiring story.
Dr. Schaeffer is actively involved in the Whole Health Institute, a non-profit organization whose purpose is the exploration of the true causes of healing and its applications.

Laura joined Schaeffer Chiropractic as Office Manager in April 2009. She graduated from Illinois State University with a degree in Elementary Education. She taught for 7 years before becoming a stay at home mom.
Laura is enjoying being in the work force again, and meeting so many great patients. She loves spending time with her family, and sewing in her spare time.

Amy, Clinical Assistant
Amy has rejoined the staff at Schaeffer Chiropractic as a Clinical Assistant. She will be assisting Dr. Schaeffer with patient care, mainly in the areas of patient intakes, case status updates, and the many therapy options available in the office-including Interferential electrical therapy, MedX Laser, BackHealth and cryotherapy.
Amy received her certification through Northwestern Health Sciences University. Amy was the Office Manager for Dr. Schaeffer from 1995-2000 (counting the time he was in New York!) and she is having a great time catching up with "her" patients and meeting all the "new" patients!
Amy is a life-long resident of the Iowa City area and enjoys spending time with her husband and three children as well as her extended family.
